Job Description
An established and growing legal services organisation is looking to appoint a Litigation Claims Consultant to join its Litigation Department in Pretoria.
This role is ideal for an Admitted Attorney or Advocate with litigation experience who enjoys working in a structured, fast-paced environment where legal knowledge, client service and claims management come together.
The successful candidate will manage litigation claims from assessment through to finalisation, ensuring exceptional service delivery to policyholders while maintaining compliance with internal policies and legal procedures.

Key Responsibilities
- Assess, manage and coordinate litigation claims from inception through to finalisation.
- Draft and submit claims to the Merit Assessment Committee.
- Draft legal cases on the Lawyerly platform.
- Manage litigation matters involving:
- Civil Litigation
- Criminal Law
- Family Law
- Labour Law
- Allocate and manage matters referred to accredited panel attorneys.
- Conduct monthly case management and monitor litigation progress.
- Review legal service delivery to ensure compliance with South African law and internal quality standards.
- Verify monthly policy payment histories.
- Apply repudiation and exclusion procedures in accordance with company policies.
- Manage service provider relationships and monitor legal invoices and accounts.
- Maintain accurate communication with policyholders, panel attorneys and internal stakeholders.
- Ensure all calls are handled via the Telviva system and complete required identity verification procedures.
- Ensure compliance with claims policies, operational manuals and internal governance procedures.
Minimum Requirements
- LLB Degree.
- Admitted Attorney or Advocate.
- Minimum 1 year litigation experience.
- Ability to speak, read and write two official African languages.
- Strong computer literacy.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- High levels of professionalism, initiative and integrity.
