Job Description
Are you an organised, detail-oriented professional with experience in financial systems, client onboarding and compliance administration?
Our client, a prestigious global law firm with offices in Johannesburg, Cape Town and Durban, is looking for a Financial Systems Officer to join their Business Services Finance team in Sandton.
Reporting to the Financial Systems Manager, you will play a pivotal role in maintaining the integrity of the firm's financial systems, supporting compliant client and matter onboarding, and providing expert CMS/Aderant support to users across the business.

Key Responsibilities
Financial Systems & Master Data Management
- Maintain accurate client, matter, payer and related master data across CMS/Aderant and associated financial systems.
- Ensure records are complete, accurate and suitable for reporting.
- Monitor daily exception reports and resolve duplicate, incomplete or inaccurate records.
Client & Matter Onboarding
- Support the end-to-end client and matter opening process.
- Verify matter information, billing arrangements, VAT/tax details, class codes and supporting documentation.
- Ensure all onboarding requirements are completed before matters are activated.
Compliance Administration
- Coordinate and administer FICA, KYC, CDD/SDD and Beneficial Ownership requirements.
- Review and maintain compliance documentation and audit trails.
- Ensure engagement letters, SLAs and panel appointments are correctly recorded and managed.
- Escalate outstanding compliance requirements where necessary.
Systems Support
- Provide CMS/Aderant support to legal professionals, secretaries and business services teams.
- Assist users with matter opening, payer codes, billing groups, currency queries and matter amendments.
- Support ongoing financial systems administration, reporting, data cleansing and ad hoc projects.
Minimum Requirements
- Matric (Grade 12)
- Relevant qualification in Finance, Business Administration, Compliance, Information Systems or similar advantageous
- Previous experience working with CMS/Aderant or similar Legal Practice Management/Financial Systems
- Experience within a legal, professional services or financial services environment
- Sound understanding of:

- Exposure to SQL, SSRS or reporting tools advantageous
