Senior Corporate Commercial Attorney
Job Description
Introduction
An exciting opportunity exists with a prestigious UK-based international law firm for an experienced Senior Corporate Commercial Attorney to join their Office of the General Counsel (OGC) on a 5-month fixed-term contract, commencing 1 June.
This fully remote role is ideally suited to a commercially astute legal professional with extensive commercial contracts experience, strong risk management capability, and the confidence to operate independently within a fast-paced international legal environment.
Duties & Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities
- Provide day-to-day commercial contracts support within the Office of the General Counsel / Contracts Team.
- Review, draft, negotiate, and advise on:
- Engagement terms
- Commercial agreements
- Subcontractor agreements
- Secondment agreements
- Manage and respond to BAU legal and contractual queries received through shared team mailboxes.
- Identify, assess, and escalate contractual and commercial risks appropriately.
- Work closely with internal stakeholders including:
- Conflicts teams
- Privacy teams
- Information Security (InfoSec)
- Compliance and Risk functions
- Support UK and international offices with commercial legal matters.
- Operate autonomously with minimal supervision while managing matters end-to-end.
- Ensure contractual compliance, consistency, and alignment with firm policies and risk frameworks.
Desired Experience & Qualification
- Admitted Attorney.
- Minimum 5–6 years’ post-qualification experience in corporate commercial law.
- Strong background in commercial contracts drafting, negotiation, and advisory work.
- Previous experience within a law firm, in-house legal department, or professional services environment preferred.
- Proven ability to independently manage high-volume contract matters.
- Strong commercial awareness and sound risk judgement.
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
- Experience working across international jurisdictions advantageous.
- Ability to work effectively in a remote and fast-paced environment.
