Junior Accountant – Sandton

Introduction
A leading hospitality group with a portfolio of luxury lodges is seeking a Junior Accountant to join their finance team based in Sandton.
This role is ideal for a detail-driven and highly organised finance professional who thrives in a fast-paced, high-volume environment and is eager to gain exposure across multi-entity financial operations.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Administration & Accounting:
- Process daily and month-end payments in line with approved payment schedules
- Capture and reconcile financial transactions on Xero and Pastel Partner
- Perform bank reconciliations and ensure accuracy of financial data
- Assist with month-end processes, including reconciliations, debtors, and creditors
- Maintain accurate financial records (electronic and physical)
- Manage key accounts including municipal accounts, Eskom, cell accounts, and HOS accounts
- Assist with inter-company invoicing and reconciliations
Fleet & Operational Support:
- Maintain fleet records and documentation
- Coordinate vehicle licensing and renewals
- Provide administrative support to operational teams
Property & Lodging Support:
- Assist with property-related financial administration (levies, accounts, bookings support)
- Support lodge-related financial tracking (e.g., Doornkop, Mabula accounts)
Minimum Requirements
Qualifications:
- Diploma in Accounting / Finance or relevant qualification
- Degree (advantageous)
Experience:
- 1–3 years’ experience in a junior accounting or finance role
- Exposure to multi-entity or group structures (advantageous)
- Experience in hospitality / tourism industry (beneficial)
Systems & Technical Skills:
- Xero Accounting Software
- Pastel Partner
- MS Office (Excel – intermediate level)
- FNB Online Banking

- Ability to handle high-volume transactions
- Good time management and organisational skills
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
- Strong administrative and record-keeping ability
- Effective communication and teamwork skills
Language Requirements
- Fully bilingual: English and Afrikaans
